About the Artist

Mary Mize Corbitt is a native of Alabama where she received her formal education. During her 30 year career

as an artist, Mary has taken college classes in art, participated in numerous seminars and workshops, studied with private teachers and worked under the guidance of nationally and internationally acclaimed artists.

Now living in Atlanta, Mary has enjoyed much success as an artist. She actively participates in the local artist community and is a member of several artist groups.

Her work has been exhibited in one-person shows, entered in many competitions and won awards and ribbons.

Mary has been honored to do commission work for businesses, her church, and was selected to paint one of the five-foot turtles for the Sandy Springs Historical Foundation auction.

She has donated much time and many pieces of art in giving back to the community.

Mary states, “The friendships and contacts sustained through all of these involvements are validating, inspiring and encouraging.  Magic happens when you respond to something I create, and it gives me resolve to do even better on the next project.”
